Hi! My name is McKinley! I am a female Shepherd mix approx. 3 years old and weigh around 60 Lbs. I was originally found off of Munson Rd and HWY 276 in Rockwall on 06/02/22 and never reclaimed. I am a very calm and sweet girl. I have done well with other dogs and do prefer calm yet playful dogs that are more on the submissive side. If you have another four-legged k9 companion at home that you think might do well with me, please feel free to bring them in for a meet and greet. I would also do best with a doggy companion who will be able to help me build my confidence and lead by example. I need some work on a leash and basic potty training but I'm willing to learn.  I am spayed, up to date on my basic boosters as well as my rabies vaccination and microchipped.  I did test positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, once I am adopted, I will be able to receive treatment with little or no cost to the adopter. Heartworm's are fatal if left untreated and heartworm  treatment is essential in saving my life! Treatment can cost anywhere from $400-$600 per dog and Rockwall PAWS is a non profit that depends on donations in order to treat heartworm positive dogs like me that are adopted from Rockwall Adoptions!
