Leroy Has Been Adopted — But His Story Isn’t Over 

Leroy, our gentle 6-year-old Lab mix weighing approximately 85 lbs, has officially found his forever home! After being found on Lake Estates Drive in Rockwall and never reclaimed, this sweet, calm boy captured the hearts of staff, volunteers, and ultimately his adopter with his loving and easygoing nature.

While Leroy now has a family to call his own, his medical journey continues.

Medical Update

During diagnostic imaging related to Leroy’s right leg, our veterinary team identified findings that may be consistent with cardiomyopathy. This condition requires ongoing monitoring and future cardiac evaluation to ensure Leroy’s long-term health and comfort.

Leroy also tested heartworm positive, but thanks to the incredible support of Rockwall PAWS, his heartworm treatment is fully sponsored and underway. We are grateful that he can receive the care he needs without placing that burden on his adopter.
