Hello! My name is Chase! I am a 1 year old male Chihuahua/pitty mix that weighs about 20 Lbs give or take. Sadly, I was surrendered to Rockwall Adoptions by my family as they couldn't continue to take care of me any longer. So now I am looking for my furever home. I am a very sweet and shy boy at first but I do warm up. I do need some work on leash training and crate training but I really want to learn. I just need a family that has the time and patience a dog like me needs so that I can become the best k9 companion possible. I do well with other dogs my size and have lived in a home with another dog most of my life, but if you have other dogs in the home, a meet and greet is recommended prior to adoption. I also grew up around children but I do prefer kids 10 and up. They just know how to respect my space better than younger kids do. I am neutered, up to date on my rabies vaccination as well as my boosters to date and microchipped. I did test positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, once I am adopted, I will be able to receive treatment with little or no cost to the adopter. All donations made to Rockwall PAWS goes towards treating heartworms in adoptable loveable pets like myself. Heartworms are fatal if left untreated which is why it is so important to complete treatment. Heartworm prevention and awareness is key in keeping your four legged pets safe in any state where mosquitos exist! Sadly, for dogs like me that unfortunately were not protected the only way to save our lives in through heartworm treatment. Aren't our lives worth saving? If you would like to donate towards my heartworm treatment or the treatment of another heartworm positive dog at Rockwall Adoptions, please consider donating today!
