Hi! My name is Captain! I am a 3 year old male Great Pyrenees mix that weigh around 90 lbs. I was originally found off Old Wagon Trail in Rockwall County on 3/8/23 and never reclaimed. Don’t let my size fool you, I am a snuggly marshmallow with a sweet personality. I have been in the shelter for 3 days and am working on coming out of my shell. I am not good at guarding other animals and would make a terrible guardian dog. Especially for livestock. When I was found, I was having a good old time chasing the neighbor's livestock. The neighbor was not as amused as I was. I prefer a good hug and a head pat and truly am a big teddy bear of a dog. I am patient, kind and extremely tolerant! I do get along with other dogs but I'm not very playful. I am a very chill and calm boy who would rather lounge around than run and play. As always, a meet and greet is suggested if you have another dog in the home.  I am neutered, microchipped, current on rabies vaccination and boosters to date. I did test positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I will be able to receive treatment with little or no cost to the adopter.
