Meet Athena — Ready for Her Second Chance

Athena is a sweet 2-year-old Pit mix, weighing about 53 pounds, who is ready to find the loving home she deserves. Found near Lakeshore in Rockwall and never reclaimed, she’s now getting a fresh start while waiting for her forever family.

Athena can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she becomes a gentle, affectionate companion who enjoys being close to her people. She walks nicely on a leash and is eager to continue learning with a patient, loving family. A meet and greet is recommended if there is another dog in the home.

Athena is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. She did test heartworm positive, but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her treatment is covered at little to no cost to her adopter.
