Meet Hugo. This sweet boy is a heartworm positive, male, 4-5 year old Lab/Shepherd mix that weighs 55 Lbs and is currently available for adoption at Rockwall Adoptions. He is a shy boy that is slowing starting to come out of his shell and is starting to get excited about meeting new people! He is learning to walk on a leash and has even been out for walks with volunteers! He is also working on crate training and is slowly getting the hang of it. At this time, He is not suggested with children as he can still get nervous from time to time. He has done really well playing with other dogs particularly submissive females in the yard but we have not found him a male companion yet. Again, Hugo did test positive for heartworms but don't let that be a deal breaker! Heartworms are treatable! Once treated dogs can return to a full happy and healthy life!
